He said that the alternatives to Theresa May's deal would be "no-deal or no Brexit", but warned of the "economic self-harm" of a 'no-deal' scenario.
Business secretary Greg Clark also said it would be "crazy" to leave the EU without a deal.
The chancellor concluded his remarks by telling MPs: "Let's get on with it, let's back this deal, honour the referendum, protect our economy and work together in the national interest to build a brighter future for our country."
